I know exactly how she feels. In 1999, my beautiful barre horse, Light Toast, aka Toastie, turned the third barrel and I heard the same noise. She ran all the way home on 3 legs before I could stop her and get off. She was winning 2 saddles for me at the time. We put her to sleep that night for the same problem, a shattered hock. Needless to say we placed 5th that awful day. May she rest in piece with Ash!!!!!!!

I have used a whole bottle of this stuff on my cribbers stall and it only stopped the the cribbing for about an hour. Even after reapplying the product several times, my mare still cribbed on the stall where the bitterlicks had been applied.

I was looking at some Tennessee Fitzgeralds for genealogy, when I came across your blog. You certainly are an accomplished young lady with a wonderful outlook.

I wish you success in all you do. God bless you. Bill

You are a true american. I always say exactly what you are saying, "There are more good people than bad" People do need to get out of their houses and join together. Quit watching so much TV and think for yourself. So glad to know you are doing what you are doing. It's fabulous. Please know you are welcome at our home anytime. Give that horse some love too.

I absolutely loved this! HILARIOUS, and true. So many people who do really good bash their runs...and yet the person who is complimenting them might have done horrible. How do they think that makes the 15D girl feel? When you do good, accept the compliment! GREAT article!

My Quarter horse is 4 years old. Today her farrier came and while he was doing her hooves she nieghed and this puddle of saliva came out of her mouth. I thought she drank water before i brought her in, but then in her stall she just kept salivating. I gave her her feed and she ate it without a problem. When i check her mouth, what should I look for? How should i check her mouth? I'm only 16 and am new to owning a horse.
Do you have any suggestions on what i should do?
